Back in April 2018, country legend Kenny Rogers had to cut his farewell tour, aptly titled Gambler’s Last Deal Tour, short per doctor’s orders.
Rogers announced his decision to retire, and embark on the farewell tour, in 2015 and he cited his age and desire to spend time with his family as the main reasons why he wanted to hang up his hat.

He’s been enjoying his family time for the past year or so, but a hiccup in his health has sent him to the hospital. Some outlets were reporting that his health was rapidly declining, needs doctors every minute of the day, and is very close to death.
Kenny Rogers himself issued an official statement slamming these rumors.
It read, “Due to recent wild misinformation and speculation from several media outlets, we are issuing the following statement on behalf of Kenny Rogers: Kenny was recently admitted to a local Georgia hospital and treated for dehydration. He will remain there to complete some physical therapy to get his strength back prior to discharge. He appreciates the concern and well wishes he has received from his fans and can assure everyone he plans on sticking around through the years to come.”

We will keep Rogers in our prayers as he recovers in the hospital, but we are happy to hear his health isn’t as bad as some news outlets made it seem.
